Aaron Dana is running as an Independent for Maine Senate District 6.

Our district faces real economic and financial challenges, and we must act to bring good jobs, support responsible growth, and lower costs for working families. My top priority is strengthening our local economy and creating opportunity for everyone across Washington and Hancock Counties. Having grown up in poverty, I know firsthand what it's like to struggle for basic necessities. Downeast Mainers should be thriving.

In addition to economic growth, we must protect our hunting and fishing traditions, safeguard our natural resources, and ensure the future of our saltwater commercial fisheries, which are so vital to the region. Clean streams, rivers, and coastal waters sustain our communities today and for generations to come.

As the Passamaquoddy Tribal Representative, I've served on committees and advocated on the House floor, but I want to give Indigenous and Downeast Mainers full representation in Maine government. Our communities deserve a voice when decisions are made about our lands, our livelihoods, and our future. I am seeking this seat to ensure our voices are heard in Augusta.

Senate District 6 includes Motahkomikuk, Sipayik, all of Washington County, and in Hancock County, the communities of Amherst, Aurora, Eastbrook, Franklin, Gouldsboro, Great Pond, Hancock, Mariaville, Osborn, Sorrento, Sullivan, Waltham, and Winter Harbor.

"I am proud to run as an independent and to serve as a strong voice for the entire Downeast region, committed to putting local communities first and working with anyone to deliver results."
